Tape in Hair Extensions hair salon

The Tape in Hair extensions method is a Semi-Permanent method. This means they are designed for medium-term wear and need to be re-fitted every 6 to 8 weeks. You can re-use the same hair many times! chelsea salon

This a fast becoming the most popular method at YOSO Hair salon and for good reason. Our Tape Hair is comfortable to wear and is very quick and easy to fit and remove in the salon.

We only use Tape Hair that has an invisible seam – where each hair is injected by hand into a membrane to give a root mimic effect. Even up close, it is hard to see where a clients hair ends and the tape hair begins.

What are the advantages of tape?

They don’t damage your hair
The pieces weigh between 2 and 3 g so they won’t feel heavy or slide off. They work really well if you have fragile and/or damaged hair.

Ideal if you have thin hair
Do you have thin hair in which attachments always remain visible? That’s no longer a problem with Pro Tape, Quick & Easy and Sleek Tape Extension.

Application and Removaltape in extensions

Tape in extensions are applied by removing the backing from the weft exposing the polyurethane. Then by laying a thin veil of hair over the top and applying a second weft directly on top of the first weft, “sandwiching” the natural hair in between. Chelsea Salon

The removal is just as easy and can be done using tape-in extension remover and a pintail comb. The tape adhesive dissolves on contact with the remover, allowing gentle removal of the tapes. The residual adhesive is then removed, the hair is washed and dried, and our extensionists apply new adhesive tape so that the tapes can be reapplied. The tape extensions should last for 6-8 weeks before they need to be repositioned.
